From National Parks and waterfalls to playgrounds and adventures there is something for everyone. Her are some a couple of suggested itineraries to inspire!!

Itinerary 1: Forest Fun Day in Pemberton (30 min drive)

Morning

Midday

  • Picnic or café lunch in Pemberton or Big Brook Dam

  • Try the Gloucester National Park: see the famous Gloucester Tree ( enjoy short forest walks).

Afternoon

  • Big Brook Dam – swim, paddle a canoe/kayak, or do the flat 3.5 km loop trail (good for bikes too).

  • Ice cream stop in town before heading back.

Paddle on the Warren River or Big Book Dam

🚤 Itinerary 2: River & Adventure Tour (40–45 min drive)

Morning

  • Book a Home - Donnelly River Cruises: boat ride from the forest down to the Southern Ocean. Kids love spotting birds, forest scenery, and the thrill of the river meeting the sea.

Midday

  • Picnic by the river at Glenoran Pool and explore the 4 Aces and One Tree Bridge or have lunch in Manjimup (Heritage Park café is family-friendly).

Afternoon

  • Explore Manjimup Heritage Park: adventure playground, historic exhibits, and space to run around.

  • Option: Short bike ride or walk on the Manjimup Linear Path.

🌊 Itinerary 3: Coast & Climb Adventure (≈1 hr drive to Windy Harbour)

Morning

Midday

  • Continue to Windy Harbour. Picnic or BYO lunch overlooking the ocean.

Afternoon

  • Climb Mount Chudalup (easy to moderate walk, about 30–40 min up). At the top: sweeping 360° views of forest, dunes, and the Southern Ocean – great family photo spot!

  • Visit Tookulup Lookout for dramatic cliff and ocean views before heading home.
