Wow! Trout are leaping and splashing in the lakes! Not only can you catch a big one on a fly on the trophy lake, but also sure to do well on the home lake, where anglers can wet their line. What a treat! A house concert at Clover Cottage with the amazing Pepperjacks from Albany performing music with a touch of old-timey blues, ragtime, country ballads and folk. Fingerslide and acoustic guitar, fiddle, harmonica and sweet vocal harmonies make up the earthy and honest sound. Let’s hope we can organise more such concerts in the near future.
Magenta and baby Maxwell have joined the Clover Cottage quirky farm animal family! The donkeys Edith and Plonky are still trying figure out what type of animals alpacas are!! Very nice stay. The trout are there but very elusive. Managed to catch two. Persistence is the key. Sunrise and sunset are the best times. Used a small orange breasted wobbler lure. They taste great when smoked!!
