Fishing
The farm is nestled on the banks of the magnificent Warren River, a pristine waterway that is brimming with trout, perch, and fresh water cobbler. Operated by Paul Thomsett, who has over 25 years experience in farming and breeding trout, the retreat has become a premier freshwater angling destination.
Try your luck on our regularly stocked lakes or in the river. Many a good sized trout has been caught using lures or wet and dry fly. Flick rods are available for you to borrow and lures can be purchased in the shop. FishingWa also offer a few tips for fishing Redfin Perch at Clover Cottage.
We can organise a fishing guide for fly fishing lessons or riverguiding. Equipment can be supplied. Contact us to arrange.

Tennis

A beautifully maintained grass tennis court is available for guests to use. Drop a line in the lake that surrounds the court and have a hit while you wait for the next bite.
For the enthusiastic player, you can also book the court for night games.
Canoeing
The canoes are located down on the river ready for you to use. You can take a leisurely paddle down stream and admire the flora and fauna that abounds along the riverbanks.
Why not take a rod and try your luck catching a redfin or the rainbow trout.

Clover Cottage is nestled in a jarrah forest setting where a large area is still in it’s natural state with plenty of flora and fauna to admire.
The wild flowers in spring are a sight to behold with dramatic displays of wildflowers to colour the landscape. Be ready to see kangaroos and birdlife as you take a stroll along the old logging roads and river side walks.
Bird Watching
Just sit back on your verandah with a glass of wine and enjoy the view and the birds! As one guest quoted “ ..special moments.. being serenade by the birds…just there in front of you!” A pair of binoculars are handy to spot the tiny little wrens flitting in and out of the gardens! A bird feeder is on your verandah to also entice them closer!
Commonly spotted are the fairy wrens, Blue wrens, magpies, Fire tail finchs, and the Golden whistler.
