Walnut Picking Time

It’s walnut time and the annual “pick your own” season is in full swing.  From April until June every year the quiet at Fontani Fruit andNut Farm is broken by the nut harvest, when busloads of visitors arrive at the farm gate, keen to get their hands on  local produce.  Locals and visitors are welcomed in to pick their own chestnuts and walnuts. Fontanini’s 65ha also produces apples, avocados, pears, feijoas, persimmons, macadamias,  and hazelnuts.

The weather is just right for gathering the fallen nuts!!! Don’t forget to check out the farm store and Truffle winery on the way to Fonty Nut Farm! Seven Day Road offers it all!!!!

Hear from our guests

I can only imagine the amount of hard work involved in keeping this place in such superb condition.  Everything was immaculate, the chooks had eggs every day, plenty of trout in the lake.  We were lucky enough to catch and return 6 nice trout in 2 days ( fly fishing with muddler minnow)

Trout chasing fry early morning and in the evening.

Beautiful for fishing.

Good luck

Thanks guys, will be back.
